Diesel is now a PETS FOR THERAPY DOG we are very proud that Diesel passed the test with a 100% score.,

we enjoyed a visit of a pets for therapy dog when our daughter was in hospital having heart surgery and it made our daughters day! so with diesel being so soft and gentle and adoring everyone we thought it would be nice to see if diesel would enoy doing it.

Needless to say anyone who gives Diesel a pat or cuddle is a great person in his eyes and he very much has been enjoying his visits , I have taken diesel to both children and adult's through to very old people he loves them all just the same!!!

some homes have been waiting for a PAT dog in our area for a very long time some aslong as 1999!!!

Diesel has also been visiting schools to help the children see how a puppy grows and so they can learn about dogs and how to behave around them, lots of the children don't count diesel as a puppy " because hes too big!"  at one point of his last visit there were 30 children crowding around him stroking ( and the odd poke!!) yet he didn't even stand up! he just laid down and enjoyed himself! at the start of one visit a little girl was sobbing with fear, by the end with no persuasion she had stroked Diesel and was giggling, along with all her class mates, the school took pictures for her mother as proof she did it as she has been scared of dogs all her life!!!

Diesel regularly visits a old peoples home where he is very much loved especially by those that had to leave there own dogs behind, its a nice change and is helping alot with the more frail people who move to see Diesel who would normally refuse to get out of bed

A PAT dog can make a big difference to peoples life's and Diesel is sure proving that with every visit we go on, we are very proud of our boy who is such a big gentle giant, we wouldn't want him any other way! Diesel is very much aware of those who are more frail and behaves very well becoming even more soft and gentle he can definitely tell who is more vulnerable.

Diesel has also helped a lady get over her fear of dogs and is now on the waiting list for a st bernard puppy, diesels temprement is simply lovely he is so well behaved around everyone and knows full well when he has his PAT dog lead on its time to work and be gentle and he completely changes when we walk into where we are visiting, Diesel has no preference of who he visits hes happy as long as he can get the odd treat and cuddle neither of which he has ever left a place without plenty of them!
